Join the JAHC in welcoming Juneau artists Teri Gardner-Robus, Timi Johnson, and Barbara Shepherd, and their joint Gallery show, “Kaleidoscope Eyes!” The artists have collaboratively submitted a poem as their artists statement:
With kaleidoscope eyes
shapeshifters escape artists,
unlearn how the light
gets in optic verve,
taking chances, eyes wide
open— poetry of space.
Show hangs through March

The JAHC continues an important fundraising project brought to us by local ceramics artist Sandra Mander. Sandra has created a gorgeous soda-fired porcelain figure of a pregnant Sudanese refugee woman, which will be on display throughout the summer months. Viewers of the sculpture are invited to make a donation to the Sudan Refugee Sculpture at the JACC. 100% of the artist’s portion of these funds will be donated to Doctors Without Borders and the UN Refugee Agency. Any participant who makes a donation will be entered in a raffle to win the sculpture. Come see Sandra’s beautiful figure and read a bit more about her inspiration for this piece. The drawing will take place at the end of the summer season, on a date to be decided.Sculpture on display in the JAHC Lobby Shop through spring 2017
