The collection is displayed by school, in public recognition of the creative and artistic talents of our students. ,

This year, artwork from Auke Bay Elementary, Glacier Valley Elementary, Mendenhall River Community School, and Riverbend Elementary will be exhibited at the Mendenhall Library. Harborview Elementary and Juneau Community Charter School’s artwork will be at the Downtown Library, and Gastineau Elementary’s display will be at the Douglas Community Library. The exhibits will be taken to the University Campus on Saturday, May 20.

The Exhibit is made possible with special support from Cindy Hudson and the Women of the Moose, as well as many volunteers who help collect, mount and transport the artwork.,

The Juneau Arts and Humanities Council and the Juneau School District work together as Kennedy Center Partners in Education and as an Ensuring the Arts for Any Given Child site. This exhibit is among the programs they collaborate on to build the arts in our schools as a way to increase students’ academic success. ,
