Workshop for youth grades 6-12 to explore the idea of healing through creation of art. Each student will sew a small pouch from natural gut or luxury textile, embellished with a selection of beads and natural materials such as fur, porcupine quills, and feathers. Students are invited to bring small personal items to incorporate into the artwork, such as an earring that has lost its pair or a button from a long ago garment… Workshop will be led by Alaska State Museum Solo Artist and Visceral: Verity, Legacy, Identity Cocurator Sonya Kelliher-Combs. This is a 2 day workshop 3/14 and 3/16. Fee $48 Fly Casting is both beautiful and enjoyable. This two day workshop is about an art that must be mastered to fully enjoy fl fishing. good casting is not all the intuitive. Unfortunately, "self learning" often leads to developing incorrect techniques that can take years to unlearn. Although this workshop is designed for beginning casters, it is open to anyone wishing to work out casting problems and/or learn good techniques to improve their casting. The program raises awareness about mental health issues, how to start a conversation about mental health, the importance of self-care, and how to reach out for help. This two day workshop is about an art that must be mastered to fully enjoy fl fishing. good casting is not all the intuitive. Unfortunately, "self learning" often leads to developing incorrect techniques that can take years to unlearn.
