Expanded Tax Benefits in 2021

As you consider your end of year giving, please note that recent legislation has expanded tax benefits for individuals and businesses who give to non-profit organizations & charities in 2021.

Non-itemizers can deduct up to $300 per individual (or married/filing separately) while married/filing jointly are eligible to deduct up to $600. Itemizers are not restricted to the usual AGI limit of 60% - they may apply up to 100% of their AGI for calendar-year 2021 qualified contributions. The Corporate limit for charitable contributions has increased from 15% to 25% of taxable income.

The Juneau Arts & Humanities Council is a 501c3 non-profit organization. Please work with your tax advisor for specific tax advice for the 2021 calendar year.
