Rasmuson Foundation announces Individual Artist Grant Applications open

Rasmuson Foundation is accepting applications for the 2021 Individual Artist Awards

program.

To help artists navigate the application process, Rasmuson Foundation is hosting a
statewide virtual meeting on January 28, from 5:30 – 8:00 pm. REGISTER FOR THE WORKSHOP

The meeting will present important information about this year’s application in two
sessions.

  • The first session (5:30-6:30 p.m.) will provide artists with an overview of the program and a review of who is eligible to apply.
  • The second session (6:30-8 p.m.) will be a workshop with tips and guidance on how to make the most of your grant application.

Alaskan artists are invited and encouraged to attend one or both sessions.

This annual award program is available to all Alaskan artists. Every year, 25 artists are
selected for Project Awards in the amount of $7500 in the following disciplines:

  • choreography,
  • craft, folk and traditional arts,
  • literary arts/scriptworks,
  • media arts,
  • multidisciplinary,
  • music composition,
  • new genre,
  • performance arts,
  • presentation/interpretation and visual arts.

This year, Fellowships are awarded in the amount of $18,000 in the following disciplines:

  • choreography,
  • craft, folk and traditional arts,
  • literary arts/scriptworks and
  • performance arts.

The deadline to apply online is March 1, 2021. The postmark deadline for paper applications is February 15, 2021.
