JUNEAU ARTS & HUMANITIES COUNCIL ANNOUNCES LEADERSHIP TRANSITION\
JUNEAU, ALASKA (May 5, 2025) — The Juneau Arts & Humanities Council (JAHC) today announced that Executive Director Phil Huebschen will be stepping down from their position effective May 14, 2025, to pursue new professional opportunities.
During their tenure since February 2023, Huebschen has provided steady leadership through a period of growth and evolution for the organization. “From the board, we wish him well,” says James Bibb, Interim Chair of the JAHC Board of Trustees, “We appreciate very much the incredible effort he has offered over the past number of years.”
“It has been an honor to serve as Executive Director of the Juneau Arts & Humanities Council,” said Huebschen. “I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve accomplished together and grateful for the opportunity to work alongside such talented staff, dedicated board members, and passionate community volunteers. Juneau’s arts community is extraordinary, and I look forward to seeing its continued growth and success.”
The JAHC Board of Trustees will begin a search for a new Executive Director immediately. In the interim, Reggie Schapp will serve as Interim Executive Director to ensure a smooth transition and continued operation of all JAHC programs and services.
