Artist in Residence Opportunity – Apply by March 1

The Voices of the Wilderness Alaskan Artist-in-Residence Program is accepting applications for residencies occurring this upcoming summer; deadline to apply is soon – March 1.  View the 2022 Information and Application.

This year, we have 11 hosting Wilderness areas across Alaska, sponsored by the US Forest Service, US Fish & Wildlife Service and National Park Service.  It’s free to apply, and artists can be considered for all of the opportunities with just one submission.  The only thing it costs you is your time!

Please note – if you submit an application and don’t receive an email confirmation within a week stating that it’s been received, please re-send the application.  All applications should sent to barbara.lydon@usda.gov.  If you still don’t receive a response after you’ve submitted the application a 2nd time, please call (907) 382-0552, as government email sometimes inadvertently filters or blocks non-government emails.

We hope you’ll consider applying!

Sincerely, Barbara Lydon, Voices of the Wilderness Artist-in-Residence Program Coordinator
